Online training for representatives of health organisations

Representatives of organisations working in the field of health are invited to view footage from training sessions delivered by the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education in June 2021 as part of the Network for Health project.

1 The training course entitled. "Patient participation in health policy making", held on 17 June 2021 in Warsaw. Conducted by Wojciech Wisniewski.

From the training you will learn about:

- how decisions in health care are shaped;

- legislative process and its stages;

- methods of persuading decision-makers to make their case;

- the importance of Parliament and participation in its work;

- coalition building and cooperation with other stakeholders in the system.

 

2 Training entitled. "Patient rights - your rights" which took place on 24 June 2021 in Warsaw. Conducted by Dr Dorota Karkowska, legal counsel, IPPEZ expert on patient rights.

From the training you will learn about:

- the patient's right to health services in accordance with current medical knowledge;

- whether an aesthetic procedure is a health service and whether patient rights legislation then applies;

- patient participation in clinical trials;

- what information the patient must receive from the doctor, nurse, physiotherapist and other health professionals;

- The patient's right to informed and free consent to a medical act versus written consent forms;

- What to do when a patient's rights are violated and when you can go to court.
