New guide for haematology patients

The guide 'ABC of a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a short guide to handling the disease' offers practical advice for patients with suspected PBL. "During the patient workshops, we noticed that the suspicion and diagnosis stage of haematology needs special attention and improvement. Especially older people should be more aware of what symptoms are worth paying special attention to, when to do check-ups and what to ask the doctor," explains Anna Kupiecka, president of the OnkoCafe Foundation - Together Better.

An integral part of the handbook is a Patient's Notebook with an address book for important contacts (e.g. GP, oncologist, psycho-oncologist, dietician, physiotherapist, foundation, patient association/support groups).

The guide is available on line on the website of the OnkoCafe Foundation - download the guide
