Within the framework of the institutional grant obtained from the Active Citizens - National Fund programme, in line with its development strategy, the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education is implementing activities in the following strategic areas:
Strategic Area 1
To consolidate the Institute's position as an expert entity, by developing and strengthening substantive and competent capacities for health NGOs.
Strategic area 2
Institutional strengthening of patient organisations
Strategic Area 3
Institutional strengthening of the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education
Strategic Area 4
Advocacy and support for patient organisation activities in selected units and therapeutic areas
The implementation of the above activities will take place through nationwide patient organisation networking conferences, trainings and workshops for their leaders, advocacy activities conducted in cooperation with patient organisations. The Institute will also continue the Patients' Organisations Support Centre, which, through a series of audits, the development and introduction of a Charter of Good Governance Principles, the launch of an expert support centre and training, improves the management standards of organisations and influences the development of their competences.

The activities of the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education from 2022 to 2024 are supported by funding from the Norwegian Funds under the Active Citizens - National Fund programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Funds.
