Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Humanisation and Sexology at the Medical College of the University of Zielona Góra. Since 2022. Chairman of the Council of Patients' Organisations at the Minister of Health, in addition, he is a member of the Council of Medical Research Agencies, the Council of Experts at the Patients' Rights Ombudsman, the Health Experts' Commission at the Ombudsman. He completed his philosophical and theological studies at the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Warsaw and then sociology at the University of Szczecin. He obtained the title of Doctor of Social Sciences in the field of pedagogy in 2012 by defending his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Sociology and Health Sciences at the University of Zielona Góra. He has served as Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Health for AIDS and Drug Addiction and Vice-Chairman of the Social Council to the Prime Minister. From 2007 to 2017, he was the Provincial Minister of the Order of Serving the Sick - Camillian Fathers in Poland. He is a co-author of strategic documents concerning the state policy on HIV/AIDS and other civilisation diseases. He is active in raising public awareness of patients' rights and has undertaken many initiatives to unite and educate the patient organisation community. In this regard, he is the originator and organiser of the Patients' Organisations Leaders Forum, which is held annually as part of the World Day of the Sick. He is guided by the principle of seeking those values that lead to uniting communities rather than dividing them. In his public activity, he promotes the idea of responsible tolerance and counteracting xenophobia.In his scientific work, he is involved in the development of health education, health promotion and humanisation of medicine. He has been honoured with numerous awards and distinctions, including the Award of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and the medal "Meritorious for Polish Social Policy". |

He represents the Institute in the work of the Council of Patients' Organisations at the Patients' Rights Ombudsman and the Forum of Patients' Organisations at the National Health Fund. Completed postgraduate studies in Project Management at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw. Coordinator of many social actions in the field of prevention of civilisation diseases. He managed large projects under the Fund for Non-Governmental Organisations - Swiss Contribution and the Citizens for Democracy and Active Citizens programmes financed from EEA funds. He cooperated in projects implemented with grants from the Ministry of Health, Civic Initiatives Fund and Erasmus + programme. Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Camillian Social Mission Foundation. Secretary of the expert team to develop the Government Health Policy Project for 2022- 2026 entitled "Antiretroviral treatment for people living with HIV in Poland". Appointed by the Patient Ombudsman in 2021 to be part of the expert team in the project "Patient first - actions of the Patient Ombudsman to improve the quality of health services". Honoured by the Minister of Health with the badge of honour of the Ministry of Health "For Merits for Health Care". |

Double graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź. In December 2000, she obtained the title of Doctor of Laws after defending her dissertation: Patients' rights in administrative law and social policy, was awarded the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2014, on the basis of a dissertation: Medical professions. Academic and research interests are particularly focused in the areas of: medical law, labour law, social and health insurance law. Scientific and educational activities closely related to activities in non-governmental organisations for the protection of human rights in the health sector. Founder of the Ius Medicinae Foundation, Member of the Supreme Bioethics Committee, employed at the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery. Head of the Postgraduate Medical Law School at Lazarski University in Warsaw. Since January 2018. She has more than 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of communication strategies and educational and social projects in the field of health. She specialises in social communication projects. She cooperates with a number of NGOs working in the field of health, including OnkoCafe Foundation, Rak'n'Roll Foundation, Orange Foundation. Since 2015, she has been working with the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education, where she is responsible for the Institute's communication and promotion, as well as leading the foundation's social and educational projects. Previously (2006-2015) Healthcare Director at Havas Worldwide Warsaw, where she was responsible for integrated health communication. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Rzeszów (majoring in Polish Philology), and completed postgraduate public relations studies at the University of Warsaw. |

Professor of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Karol Marcinkowski University in Poznań. Member of the Supreme Bioethics Committee at the Medical Research Agency since 2023. His research interests concern issues related to the expansive development of biomedicine and the ethical and legal contexts implied by these developments. In particular, the consequences of the development of modern transplantology, regenerative medicine and dialysis, as well as the quality of life of chronically ill patients and their subjective expectations in terms of medical, psychological and social support, with a special focus on the spiritual aspect. Author of books, including: Stem cells as a bioethical issue in modern medicine (2010) or Quality of life in patients undergoing renal replacement therapy (2017) and more than a hundred articles published in national and international journals, editor of many publications. Winner of scientific awards, e.g. the award for the best abstract on haemodialysis awarded by the The International Society for Hemodialysis, U.S.A 2015 and teaching awards, including the award for Lecturer of the Year 2018 at the UMP in Poznań. Employed since 2003 at the Ministry of Health and then at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. Graduate of the Medical University of Wrocław, Faculty of Nursing. She completed postgraduate studies in Health Promotion at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and in Sexual Education at the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw. She has completed internships in foreign centres: in Israel, the United Kingdom and the United States. In 1998, she received her doctorate in social medicine. Since 1993, she has been working at the National AIDS Centre in Warsaw, currently as Deputy Director. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Commission for Adjudication of Medical Incidents in Warsaw. She has authored and co-authored many studies and publications on HIV/AIDS, with a special focus on young people and medical staff. She has also developed and implemented many original health promotion programmes and is active in promoting HIV/AIDS prevention principles in various professional groups. She is a member of the Polish Scientific AIDS Society (PTNAIDS). |
