UroConti Association explores the needs of patients and carers

The Association of People with NTM "UroConti" invites you to participate in a needs survey
people with urogenital complaints, including urinary incontinence. Study
to prepare a detailed report on the actual needs of the
patients regarding the use of medical devices, including absorbent products,
and their availability.

- The survey will collect anonymous statistical data and assess the situation of patients and their
carers, related to the use of medical devices, as well as diagnosing
any problems they face in this sphere. As part of the survey, we want to assess
the needs of patients with regard to the use of absorbents and other medical devices
and their availability. Once the collection of questionnaires has been completed, which will last until the end of October, it will be
report prepared, which will allow us to better understand the real needs of patients and their
carers," explains Anna Sarbak, President of the UroConti Association.

The questionnaire consists of three parts with a total of 42 questions divided into three
thematic areas:

  • basic data about the respondent,
  • the extent of healthcare provided in the last 12 months,
  • evaluation of medical devices in use.

It will take no more than 15 minutes to complete the survey anonymously.

The survey is being carried out in partnership with HTA Consulting and will be active until
31 October 2023. The originators of the survey hope that 5,000 people will complete it.

Urinary incontinence is one of the more prevalent problems of modern
world - it is assumed to affect at least 10 per cent of the population in developed countries.
In Poland, there is a lack of precise research indicating how many people are affected by this problem. For many years
estimates indicated that it could be around 2.5 million people - however, taking into account the passage of time
(progressive change in demographic structure, increased awareness), this figure may now be
significantly higher.
