Tropical and subtropical countries are increasingly becoming holiday destinations for Poles. Trips to these zones are associated with an increased risk of certain diseases, such as malaria, yellow fever (jaundice), Dengue haemorrhagic fever and typhoid fever. Therefore, when planning an exotic trip, it is important to remember to prepare accordingly.

What can you do to stay safe while travelling?

Getting immunised is the best way to protect yourself from getting sick during or after your trip. It is best to start immunisation about 6-8 weeks before the planned departure. Some vaccinations require several doses in a specific vaccination schedule.
