to the Minister for Health to take action on tobacco control

The Institute for Patient Rights and Health Education, in carrying out its statutory activities concerning the promotion of health education and pro-health attitudes among the public, wholeheartedly supports the appeal of the Presidium of the Supreme Medical Council to the Minister of Health to take action to reduce tobacco smoking, including a change in the current level of cigarette taxation, which should consequently lead to a reduction in the consumption of tobacco products among the Polish population.

The Institute shares the substantive arguments presented in the Appeal of the Presidium of the Supreme Medical Council and appreciates all the efforts of institutions and individuals who, for the sake of the patient's well-being and health, take action to reduce the consumption of nicotine products.
