Polish cities will shine a blue light to mark World Pulmonary Hypertension Day

Tomorrow, Wednesday 5 May, 10 Polish cities will light up with blue lights to show solidarity for those suffering from this rare and severe 'breath taking' disease on World Pulmonary Hypertension Day.

The blue colour, symbolising blue lips - one of the symptoms of the disease, will appear on landmarks such as Neptune's Fountain in Gdansk, Katowice's Spodek, the Philharmonic Hall in Szczecin, the pier in Kołobrzeg, Kładka Bernatka and the Lipska-Wielicka flyover in Krakow, Wrocław Stadium, the Częstochowa Museum, the Balancing Sculptures on the Old Market Square in Częstochowa, the Arena Lublin Stadium, the Palm House in Zielona Góra and the Water Tower in Bydgoszcz.

As part of the World Pulmonary Hypertension Day celebrations, there will also be a online conference "Every day breathless - what should we know about pulmonary hypertension?", scheduled for 14 May 2021 at 10:00 amThe event will be attended by renowned specialists in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. The Polish Association of Persons with Pulmonary Hypertension and Their Friends cordially invites the media, patients, their relatives and all those who would like to learn more about pulmonary hypertension to participate in this event.
