Lemons show how to detect breast cancer

Photographer Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont She took an egg packet and twelve lemons. Each had visible symptoms that something was wrong with it. From a change in shape, to redness, uneven skin and discharge from the tip. All of these symptoms shown on the lemons actually related to potential symptoms of breast cancer.

Top row from left: 1) breasts are swollen, 2) a concavity has appeared in the breast, 3) breast skin hurts, 4) breast skin is red or hot, 5) strange discharge has appeared from the breast, 6) breast has visible dimples.

Bottom row from left: 1. there is a lump in the breast, 2. the veins in the breast are swollen, 3. the nipples are concave, 4. the breast has changed shape or size, 5. an 'orange peel' has appeared, 6. there is a lump hidden in the breast (usually as hard as a lemon seed and not moving).
