The Children's Hospital Innovators Club Foundation has planned a series of webinars aimed at paediatricians. The individual talks will be hosted by experts from around the world and representatives of international corporations. The first video conference will already take place on 8 September, with speakers including Alison Curfman from Mercy Virtual. The first dedicated webinar will address a very important topic-experts will focus on Telemedicine solutions, which in times of pandemic could prove to be a lifesaver for many patients. The event will include a keynote address by Alison Curfman, who will present a Case Study entitled ,'Hospital without Beds', and there will also be two panel discussions. The first will be about practitioners' experiences with telemedicine to date, where we will meet experts from brands such as Medicover, PZU Zdrowie and Telemedicine Polska. The next panel, which will focus on the implementation of telemedicine solutions, will feature experts from the K.I.D.S. Foundation, Hitachi and Mediguard. The entire event will last two hours and will be a kind of knowledge pill on modern medical solutions, which are extremely valuable especially in the difficult time of a pandemic, in which telemedicine may prove to be salutary.
The next webinars will take place in October and November. In the October session, experts will touch on Virtual Reality solutions that can be used during medical procedures to reduce stress in young patients (TO BE AFFIRMED), and in November we will touch on patient education, which is particularly important when implementing change (TO BE AFFIRMED). In addition, the K.I.D.S. Foundation has launched the competition "Telemedicine in Children's Hospitals of the Future". for which thematic projects can be submitted until 15 September. The Foundation will allocate the following funds for the implementation of the winning solutions PLN 60,000. The main criteria for selecting projects will be their scalability and innovation. It is important that they contribute as much as possible to changing the patient experience of treatment. The results will be announced as early as 30 September this year.
