The Institute for Patient Rights and Health Education is a partner in the 'Find Your Champion' campaign. This educational project, with the participation of actor Michał Milowicz and Prof. Leszek Czupryniak, MD, PhD, is dedicated to the topic of effective prevention of diabetes complications.
The 'Find Your Champion' public awareness campaign aims to highlight the problem of low public awareness of type 2 diabetes. Both healthy people who ignore the early signs of diabetes and diabetics, through poor diet, lack of physical activity and inadequate treatment, put themselves at risk of dangerous complications of the disease.
As part of the project, an educational spot was produced in the humorous convention of old kung-fu films. Its aim is to motivate diabetics to fight diabetes and remind them of the most important rules of living with the disease. The actor Michał Milowicz was involved in the project, playing the role of a diabetic who constantly fights against dangerous adversaries, i.e. bad diet, sedentary lifestyle, inadequate treatment and hypoglycaemia. The protagonist is watched over by a champion, played by diabetologist Prof. Leszek Czupryniak, who, with the right motivation, helps the patient to successfully overcome his enemy.

The campaign launch is scheduled for 14 November this year, when World Diabetes Day is celebrated worldwide.
