Together against HIV

The level of knowledge about HIV among Poles is alarmingly low. More than half of us do not know the routes of infection. 40% do not know where to take an HIV test. Often even people associated with health care do not have enough knowledge about the virus. In order to remind people that we have not yet defeated the epidemic, and that the threat is still present, and to encourage Poles to get tested for HIV, the Polish Humanitarian Aid Foundation "Res Humanae" is organising a special happening. On World AIDS Day, 1 December, a car will drive through the streets of Warsaw displaying a red bow and the inscription 'Together against HIV' on the facades of buildings. The drive also took place on 25 November, during the European HIV and HCV Testing Week.
