The 7th edition of the "Caring for Seniors" campaign has been launched

The seventh edition of the "Caring for Seniors" campaign, prepared by Warsaw Press under the patronage of many Senior Citizens' Associations and Foundations, including the Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education, has been launched. The publication opens with a statement by the national consultant in geriatrics, Professor Tomasz Kostka, on the situation of older people in our country. Prof. Piotr Jankowski discusses how dangerous "bad" cholesterol can be to our health, and Prof. Eugeniusz Kucharz talks about osteoarthritis - a problem faced by many Seniors.

The campaign also addresses the issue of an appropriate diet for the elderly, as discussed by Magdalena Siuba-Strzelińska, dietician at the National Centre for Nutrition Education of the National Food Institute, and physical activity for seniors, which is encouraged by personal trainer Michał Chalabala.

We recommend reading an interesting article on the cooperation between patient and doctor by Aleksander Biesiada, a family and hospice doctor, and material from the 'Communication without Barriers' Foundation on the 'Taming of the Elderly' programme.

Read more in today's issue of Gazeta Wyborcza as well as on the campaign website  www.seniorzy.warsawpress.com, where you can find many other materials prepared by the publication's partners.
