Holidays are a time of carefree and relaxation. However, the need for medical assistance may always arise. Therefore, when going to the seaside, the lake or the mountains, it is worth remembering that the health system is at your disposal throughout the country.
"Holiday Patient Guide" - An 18-page booklet published by the Office of the Patient Ombudsman, will help you get through the holiday season safely and healthily.
This is the fifth edition of this highly popular publication. "Wakacyjny Poradnik Pacjenta" (Holiday Patient's Guide) contains information that is particularly useful before holiday trips concerning, among other things, the rights of people using the healthcare system, both in Poland and in other European countries.
In addition, in the "Holiday Patient Guide", you will find practical advice and information on preventive health care, health insurance, but also how to proceed when your family doctor is on holiday and a medical appointment is necessary. Readers of the brochure will also learn in which situations they should use the night and Christmas medical service and in which situations patients should go to a hospital emergency department.
