As part of the 'Get vaccinated with knowledge' campaign, the fairy tale 'The Adventures of Brave Szczepan Bear' was created. Its aim is to inform about immunisation based on the latest medical knowledge. The author of the book is journalist Izabela Filc-Redlinska.
The intention of the organisers of the Vaccinate Yourself with Knowledge campaign is to provide reliable, accessible information about vaccination in order to combat harmful myths about it. The fairy tale about Szczepan the Bear is intended to reach the youngest patients and help them understand how vaccination works and why it is so important for everyone. The friendly Szczepan the Bear is there to help, explaining that a vaccination visit, although involving a prick, is neither scary nor painful.
