For the sixth time, the Patient Ombudsman has issued a 'Holiday Patient Guide'. - this time from the angle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the various travel difficulties associated with it, have changed their holiday plans and are likely to stay in the country.
The guide contains practical advice and information that can come in handy during the holidays. In addition to a reminder of the patient's rights, the guide provides information on what to take with you, where to go for treatment, how to wash your hands properly, what to look out for, how to contact a doctor away from home, in which situations you can use the night-time and holiday medical service and in which situations you should visit a hospital emergency department.
