The report "Psoriasis. Optimizing Treatment"

On the initiative of the AMICUS Psoriasis and Psoriasis Foundation in collaboration with Prof. Irena Walecka, head of the Department of Dermatology at the CMKP / CSK MSWiA and Prof. Joanna Narbutt, national consultant in dermatology and venereology, a report entitled "Psoriasis. Optimising treatment" showing a picture of the very difficult reality of Polish patients with psoriasis.

More than 90% patients felt that the disease worsened or significantly reduced their quality of life. In addition, as the study showed, during the pandemic, patients found it difficult to access medical care, with some discontinuing treatment. Another problem is the very high proportion of patients who, despite treatment, do not see any improvement in their skin condition, and some even get worse. One in ten respondents lost their job because of psoriasis. Skin lesions are very often a cause of stigmatisation for patients (52.7%).
