Rare diseases - experts take stock of the year (video)

What has changed in the area of rare diseases in 2021 in terms of legislation and organisation, and what challenges remain for the year ahead?

On 17 December 2021, a meeting was held entitled. "Roundtable - the challenges of healthcare in meeting the needs of patients affected by rare diseases", organised by the law firm Domański Zakrzewski Palinka in cooperation with PEX Pharmasequence. The Patient Ombudsman, Bartłomiej Chmielowiec, assumed honorary patronage of the meeting.

The Roundtable was an opportunity to discuss the changes that have taken place in the field of rare diseases in the past year and the plans for the coming year. The event also marked the conclusion of the second phase of a project to discuss systemic changes to increase access to therapies for patients with rare diseases.
