"It is fairly well known that patient compliance with medication is not at the highest level. Unfortunately, inhaled therapies are less adhered to by patients than oral tablet therapies. Consequently, the proportion of asthma patients who do not fully adhere to their medication is substantial. It is estimated that about half of the patients treated for asthma do not adhere to their doctor's recommendations," says Professor Paweł Śliwiński, MD, Head of the 2nd Clinic of Lung Diseases at the Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases in Warsaw, President of the Polish Lung Association, in an interview www.CowZdrowiu.pl.
