Preventive health check-up - why get tested regularly?

Prevention and healthy lifestyles in winter". is the main theme of the Prevention Wednesday event in January.

As part of today's "Wednesday with Prevention" - the first educational action of the National Health Fund in the new year, we suggest which examinations are worth doing depending on your age and which doctor you should go to. We also discuss the impact of everyday behaviour on health.

Prevention at any age

Prevention is the most effective way of looking after health. Checkups offer the chance for early detection of many diseases and their cure. At least once a year, it is worth having a blood count, urine test, cholesterol test and blood glucose test. You should also remember to check your blood pressure.

The National Health Fund has prepared a practical Calendar of testswhich will make it easy to find a prevention programme and which establishments provide it. Simply select your gender, choose your age and the calendar will generate a list of tests and recommendations tailored to you. Take a look at them and make an appointment for a check-up.

RESEARCH CALENDAR

  • will make it easier to find a prevention programme,
