NFZ Diet Portal. New diet plans: DASH Sport, DASH Resilience and DASH Celiac Disease.
- The free NFZ portal on healthy eating has gained new diet plans. It now already offers 18 plans, all of which are based on the DASH diet.
- The website diet.nfz.gov.pl has a total of more than 10 000 recipes developed by nutritionists.
- The NFZ website is used by more than 900,000 users.
- The portal also offers a Food Diary and Progress Measurements to monitor the effects of changes in eating habits.
From the free service of the National Health Fund used by more than 900,000 users. The NFZ Diet Portal teaches people how to change their eating habits to healthier ones. It also supports people with chronic diseases in choosing the right menu. The service operates online at diet.nfz.gov.pl.
NFZ diets: There is something for everyone. For free
- In our portal, everyone will find the right menu for themselves. It is probably the only portal in Poland that offers free recipes for patients with chronic diseases. Now expand our range with further nutritional plans and additional practical functionalities - highlights Paweł Florek, director of the Office of Social Communication and Promotion at NFZ Headquarters.
All of the nutrition plans available on the NFZ Diet portal have been created on the basis of DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension), a diet used to treat and prevent hypertension. Recognised as one of the healthiest diets in the world, the DASH diet is recommended by many scientific societies.
Use of the NFZ service is free of charge. All you have to do is create an account, which is also free of charge.
NFZ diets: New diet plans
More diet plans have been added to the portal. There are now 18 in total, and the new plans are:
DASH Sport- For people with increased physical activity, supports glycogen restoration.
DASH Resilience - strengthens the immune system and is based on vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins and antioxidants.
DASH Celiac disease-this is an option for those on a gluten-free diet and contains whole, gluten-free products.
Tools that measure progress
Thanks to Food diary i Measuring progress you can take even better control of your health and eating habits.
Food diary - allows meals and fluids to be recorded and helps to understand the effects of diet on health.
Measuring progress - monitor changes in body weight, waist and hip circumferences and calculate the WHR index, which is the ratio of waist circumference to hip circumference.
The NFZ portal also offers free e-books with ideas for cooking together with your children and preparing quick, tasty and, above all, healthy lunchbox breakfasts for school.
NFZ diets: diet plans are not everything
In the free service of the National Health Fund everyone will find:
- more than 10 000 recipes prepared by nutritionists
- individual choice of dietary plan
- dozens of films with nutritional advice and recipes
- articles with advice on healthy eating
- recipe e-books.
NFZ diets in figures
There are currently 900,000 registered users on the portal. The majority, approximately 60%, are women. People in their 20s and 30s and 40s are the most frequent users of diets from the National Health Service. Mature users over 60 are also increasing.
