Another edition of the 'Living Longer with Cancer' campaign has been launched, providing a reliable source of knowledge for oncology patients and their relatives. The highly educational message was ensured thanks to the support of prominent authorities in the field of oncology, who tackled the topic from the perspective of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and patient-doctor relations. The articles are available on the portal www.pacjentilekarz.pl.
The campaign is held under the auspices of the Polish Oncology Society - in his article, President Adam Maciejczyk shares the good news that the Lower Silesian Oncology Centre was the first hospital in Poland to be awarded the international "Comprehensive Oncology Centre" certificate.
The cover features Anna Dereszowska, who has been supporting the Nationwide Organisation Kwiat Kobiecości for 10 years and has been the ambassador of the Ovarian Diagnosis campaign for many years, which this year ran under the slogan 'You too are POSSESSED'. Together with Ida Karpinska, founder of the Polish National Organisation Kwiat Kobiecości, she talks about the importance of prevention and gynaecological diagnostics.
THE CAMPAIGN SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING THERAPEUTIC AREAS:
CARCINOMA OF THE PANCREAS - NEED FOR ACCESS TO THERAPY
Pancreatic cancer is generally regarded as an extremely fatal tumour for which there is little that can be done. In contrast, the facts are that even among patients whose prognosis has been very poor, there are some who live many years with this diagnosis.
