The fourth edition of the educational campaign 'Medical nutrition - Your meals in the fight against illness', initiated by Nutricia Medica, has been launched. One of the first activities is a special programme called 'Everyday Heroes', consisting of recordings of three moving interviews with patients' carers about their experiences of the challenges they have faced when facing a loved one's illness.
Over the past three years, the aim of the activities has been to build awareness of the role of medical nutrition in the treatment of oncological and neurological diseases, and in the last year also to educate on enteral nutrition.
An important element of last year's campaign was the 'Letter to a Carer' campaign to draw attention to the problems of people caring for their loved ones and to symbolically thank them for their support and care. The interest in the campaign confirmed the need for further action in this area. Therefore, the fourth edition of the campaign, in addition to further education about nutritional treatment in the aforementioned therapeutic areas, will also focus on the needs of carers.
