On the occasion of World Oral Health Day, a brochure dedicated to doctors and patients entitled 'Health begins in the mouth' was produced.
The guide provides information on the relationship between the condition of the oral cavity and the health of the whole body, showing the most common links between oral diseases and systemic diseases such as:
- diabetes
- kidney disease
- cognitive disorders
- cardiovascular diseases
The publication contains recommendations for patients on, among other things, good oral hygiene and for doctors of all specialities on basic oral examination.
The brochure was produced thanks to the involvement of partners: Polish Dental Association, Institute for Patient Rights and Health Education, CEDE Patient Zone and patient organisations.
