8 May marks World Ovarian Cancer Day. That is why we dedicate the first Wednesday of this month to women's health prevention. In Poland, according to the National Cancer Registry, ovarian cancer is the fifth most common malignant tumour in women. It affects women of all ages, but the highest incidence is between 40 and 70 years of age. This cancer lacks characteristic symptoms, resulting in late diagnosis.
