Exhibitions as part of the "Letter to the Guardian" campaign

View the exhibition as part of the "Letter to the Guardian" campaign From 3-12 October 2018, a special exhibition summarising the 'Letter to a Carer' campaign, organised as part of the 'Medical Nutrition - Your Meals in the Fight Against Illness' campaign, of which we are a Partner, will be on display at Wars and Sawa Department Stores. The circular installation alludes to the care that relatives give to their residents. Most often, the role of carer is performed by the patient's closest relative, who, due to the number of duties, often has to limit their social life or even give up work. A unique exhibition set up in the very centre of Warsaw will become a place to symbolically thank those who devote their time, energy and lives to caring for others. A diagnosis of illness affects the functioning of both the person to whom it is made and their loved ones - parents, spouses, children or siblings. Very often it is the support and involvement of the family that gives the patient the strength to fight and motivates them not to give up. The decision to become a carer for a sick person involves a change of lifestyle, sometimes also giving up one's own needs - and this is all the more special because it stems from a selfless need for support. The 'Letter to a Carer' exhibition will be made up of letters written by private individuals as well as well-known ones. Addressed to specific silent heroes, as well as to the entire carer community, words of gratitude were written by, among others, Jerzy Stuhr, Michał Figurski, Robert Janowski, Maciej Orłoś or Edyta Geppert. The location of the installation is no accident. Wars Sawa Junior Department Store (ul. Marszałkowska 104/122) is located in the very centre of Warsaw and is visited by thousands of people every day - going to a meeting, going home or passing by while shopping. It is a good space to pause for a moment in the rush of everyday life, read the exhibition and reflect on the extremely important, yet difficult, role of carers. source: press materials
