What do we gain by changing to a healthier diet?
Excess weight has many health consequences, i.e. type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular complications, hypertension, respiratory diseases, certain malignancies, degenerative musculoskeletal diseases, endocrine disorders, depression, eating disorders and many others.
Remember that a weight reduction of 5-10% reduces the risk of death from cardiovascular disease, diabetes complications and obesity-related cancers.
