The 2nd edition of the campaign "Let's talk frankly about obesity" is launched.
starring Cezary Żak
On 10 June, the second edition of the nationwide educational campaign entitled. "Let's talk frankly about obesity". Its aim is to build public awareness that obesity is a disease that should and can be treated. A lack of understanding of the nature of obesity translates into the belief that it is a conscious choice on the part of the patient. It is common to place responsibility and blame for the development of excessive body weight. This means that people with obesity have to face not only what the disease itself brings, but additionally social hostility, which often takes the form of hectoring and stigmatisation. What can we as a society do to support these individuals in their recovery? Why is it important to talk frankly about obesity with loved ones and your doctor? These questions are answered by experts, campaign ambassador Cezary Żak and patients involved in the second edition of the project.
