20th edition of the Man Without Barriers competition!

For the 20th time, Integration is launching a search for people with disabilities who are active in various fields, but also selflessly help others, and whose social or professional life and the way they cope with their disability can be a role model. The closing date for applications is 28 September 2022.

The Man Without Barriers competition is a project promoting people with disabilities who are an inspiration, who take their fate into their own hands, showing others how to make their own and others' lives fuller despite their limitations. If you know such a person - do not hesitate to enter them in the competition!

- The competition has helped to make people with disabilities more visible in public and social spaces. The winners of the competition present a colourful mosaic of skills, talents and professions. They include, among others, university lecturers, politicians, local government officials, artists and sportsmen," stressed Ewa Pawłowska, President of Integracja, in the introduction to last year's folder with the profiles of the prize-winners.

The winner of last year's edition of the Competition was Mirosław Piesak - athlete, world and European champion, wheelchair paralympian, instructor and promoter of active rehabilitation, social activist promoting sport for people with disabilities and fighting for the right to a dignified life for residents of social welfare homes. - I have not wasted my life. I am happy. And God willing, I will still share my experience and advice with others who are in need," said the Laureate at the Gala.

This year the competition will be held for the 20th time. The jury will select from among the 20 semi-finalists "Barrier Free Man 2022" and three equal distinctions. This year's edition will also feature a new award for the first time - the "Young Man Without Barriers 2022", a person between the ages of 14 and 20, for outstanding achievements, an active attitude and selfless action for the benefit of others. The award winners will also be announced Awards

Audience and "Internet personality" awarded by the readers of the Niepelnosprawni.pl portal and the "Integracja" magazine. On the occasion of the Competition's anniversary, the Special Award will be presented to - "Man without barriers 20th anniversary".

This year's winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at the Royal Castle on 6 December 2022.

Anyone can nominate a candidate for the Barrier Free Man 2022 Competition by sending an application by email to: czlowiekbb@integracja.org (putting in the subject line: "Barrier Free Man 2022 Competition") or by post to: Association of the Friends of Integration, 13 Andersa St.; 00-159 Warsaw, with the note "Competition Man without Barriers 2022".
