Why are there still diseases that are taboo to us? What is the problem of stigmatisation and who does it most often affect? Why do the majority of people affected by seemingly shameful diseases live in fear of discrimination and a sense of otherness and shame, and in fact remain alone in their illness? We want to combat this belief by making the public aware of the importance of a properly made diagnosis, correctly selected therapy and the patient's own knowledge of the specific illness in the treatment of these diseases. Hence, the educational campaign prepared by The Point \"Shameful diseases. Let's overcome taboos' is a response to the need for social education, transfer of knowledge, which will allow people to understand that every disease, even the seemingly embarrassing one, is a normal condition that should be fought. The main Campaign Partner is the Institute for Patient Rights and Health Education.
