The social campaign 'Discover, Know and Accept Psoriasis' has been launched to educate people about psoriasis and fight stigma. More than one million Poles suffer from this chronic, non-communicable disease.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The campaigns were launched at a press conference organised by the Union of Psoriasis and Psoriasis Associations as part of World Psoriasis Day, which falls on 29 October.<\/p>\n

As part of the campaign, a website was launched (http:\/\/luszczyca.edu.pl<\/a>), where, among other things, you can meet the protagonists of the new campaign on psoriasis entitled 'Discover, Know, Accept'.<\/p>\n

The folder with patients' stories was created for patients, their families, relatives and friends, but also for people who know little about psoriasis and, through the publication, will learn that social support and acceptance for people with psoriasis is very important. It was created to show that the disease is not a stigma but an experience.<\/p>\n

The stories have been complemented by photographs of our protagonists - two women and two men who have had their fair share of experiences with psoriasis. They decided to share their experiences with the world - lives that were undoubtedly changed by the onset of psoriasis. They have overcome the shame that accompanies this disease and wanted to show their young, beautiful faces for the greater good. The good of others who are at the beginning of their illness or feel only limitations, pain and fear. The protagonists have experienced different stages of the disease's severity, different experiences, sad experiences with treatment or manifestations of stigma.<\/p>\n

Living with psoriasis is not easy, especially in Poland. However, as the heroes of the campaign show - everything depends on acceptance of the disease and correct treatment. Then you can enjoy life to the full.<\/p>\n

The campaign is also accompanied by a spot featuring the AniMruMru cabaret.<\/p>\n
