Psoriasis Awareness Week PSOlife2020

World Psoriasis Day is celebrated on 29 October. To mark the occasion, the Amicus Foundation, in collaboration with eminent experts, is for the third time preparing a series of educational meetings for patients. Due to the threat of SARS-CoV-2, this year the events will be held in an online format.

Psoriasis is a non-communicable, chronic autoinflammatory disease with a genetic and autoimmune basis, affecting approximately 1 200 000 Poles. The epidemic situation has resulted in many patients finding it difficult to obtain specialist medical advice. Therefore, online meetings will be held in an open form on Facebook AMICUS Psoriasis and Psoriasis Foundation. Anyone interested will be able to attend without any restrictions. - It is very important that in this very difficult reality, when the disease does not wait and patients feel lost and left on their own, to create the possibility of relations with specialists who will answer the most burning questions. - says Dagmara Samselska, President of the Amicus Foundation.

5 days of lectures by eminent specialists are ahead of us

Participants in the event will have the unique opportunity to listen to lectures by eminent specialists in dermatology, rheumatology and also a clinical psychologist. The event will be supported by Prof. Joanna Narbutt, MD, PhD, national consultant in dermatology and venerology, Prof. Irena Walecka, MD, Brygida Kwiatkowska, MD, Ewa Mojs, MD, PhD, Mariusz Sikora, MD. It will be possible to ask questions to the presenters during the event.

An accompanying event will be a workshop with a clinical dietician, during which participants will learn, among other things, how to compose an individual menu. Registration for the workshop is required via www.psolifedieta.gr8.com
