"Mission to protect the heart during the COVID-19 pandemic". - The 18th edition of the "Servier for the Heart" campaign

The 18th edition of the nationwide prevention and education campaign 'Servier for the Heart' under the slogan 'Mission to protect the heart during the Covid-19 pandemic' has begun.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year's campaign focuses on the practical aspects of cardiovascular prevention, i.e., among other things, tips on how to take care of the heart at different ages and in different forms, draws attention to the need to control cardiovascular risk factors and type 2 diabetes, which also carries cardiovascular risks.

An important element of the campaign is education about already diagnosed cardiac conditions, emphasising the importance of continuing treatment and regular medical appointments, as well as the ability to recognise the warning signs of the heart - how to read them correctly, how to react, what action to take and why, despite the fear of contacting the health service, worrying symptoms that could be the start or exacerbation of serious heart conditions should not be ignored.

The Institute for Patients' Rights and Health Education took patronage of the campaign.
